Are you living someone else’s life?

Financial Planning, Life Value Financial Planning

If your #life and spending choices are influenced by others, you are indeed not living ‘Your life’.

Your peers influence your life, and the funny part is like you; they too don’t know about it.

Peer pressure is good only when it motivates you to excel in studies or your career; the trouble starts when your ambition to match your friends’ lifestyle choices sway you to take financially rash and shortsighted decisions.

Just because your friend bought an Audi, you don’t have to redeem your funds and switch your regular savings into EMI to get a similar category car.

Peer pressure spending is one of the significant challenges to economic security, often forcing many individuals into vicious cycles of debt.

I have a simple prescription for this problem.

Start with understanding your unique financial position, be clear with your budget and, whenever you are making an expense, ask yourself- is this going to add any value to your life.

Live a life of choices and not of compulsions.

Then only you’ll be able to live the best life possible with the resources you have.
